The Word of God is like Christmas present.

The effectivity of the word of God in a person's life does not depend on the eloquent words of the preacher. Every man is endowed by God with intellect and will to choose the things he or she believes in. The fulfillment of the Lord's promises in the bible relies on the person's willingness to accept these promises.

Imagine a mailman approaching your front door carrying a huge package. You receive the package and ask the man where it came from. You are surprised to be receiving such a big package. You begin to wonder what's inside it. For as long as the mail man is concerned, he can only tell you the name and location of the origin of that package. What's inside that package? Who is that person giving you that package? And why is that person giving you that package? The mail man could not give you the exact answers to all those questions. But you would already get an idea why the person had sent you that package once you discover his name and identity. Most likely, you have a certain relationship with the person sending you the package, i.e. parents, intimate friends, lovers. So you will no longer question the intention of the person sending the package and move on to enjoying the gift that you have received.

The word of God is like a Christmas present. The priests, missionaries, pastors, evangelists and even your Christian friends are simply acting as the mail man. They are only carrying the word of God as a package to be delivered to you. You can ask all the logical questions about the word of God from other people but you will never find it's true significance in your life based on their answers. You will need to look into your relationship with God to understand the true meaning of His gifts.

Statement of Life for 2012

MATTHEW 5:8 -- "Those who are pure in their thinking are happy because they will be with God." In another translation, it says blessed are the single - hearted for they shall see God. This is my declaration of life for the year 2012. Yes, I am single. Note how the statement has been made. It's a definite statement. I didn't say I am STILL single because that would imply a certain desperation from the speaker. No, I am not desperate. I am happy and content with what I am now. Being single is the best life for me to live. It gives me the freedom to become the compassionate person that I am. NO ATTACHMENTS, ONLY JESUS! That is my life statement. Alleluia!

Childhood dreams are beginning to turn to reality. I claim all the blessings that God has in store for me this 2012. I am holding on to the promise of a prosperous life that God has always declared in the bible through Jeremiah. I am standing strong to finish the race that God has set for me. I know it will not be easy and there shall be trials and persecutions. But with Jesus, I will be able to overcome. Praised be the name of Jesus forever!

Saint Joan of Arc, virgin and martyr.
I am a soldier for Christ. Like Saint Joan of Arc, I am carrying the message of God to deliver to the people of my generation. This message is the promise of God's love and salvation. I am a follower of Jesus and I am going into the world to make more disciples for my Lord. I shall not be afraid because I know that Jesus will be with me always. That is his promise in Matthew 28:19-20 -- "So go and make followers of all people in the world. Baptize them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach them to obey everything that I have taught you AND I WILL BE WITH YOU ALWAYS, EVEN UNTIL THE END OF THIS AGE." Whether I wear a habit or not, this will be my life mission. So help me God. Amen.
